Michael Baumgartner, it’s time to step up. With the congressional recess from March 15-23, you have the chance to face your constituents. Will you take it? Or will you hide, like so many others, behind press releases and scripted talking points? The people you represent deserve more than that—they deserve a real town hall, where you’re held accountable, where you answer tough questions, and where you show that you actually care about what’s happening back home.
If you’re too scared to face us, don’t worry—we’ll organize the town halls for you. We’ll leave an empty chair for you to sit in, but we’ll be there, asking the questions you’re too afraid to answer. It’s time to put up or shut up. A representative who won’t engage with their own voters isn’t doing their job.
So, Michael, what’s it going to be? Are you going to show up and listen to the people who put you in office, or will you prove that you’re just another politician too busy for the people who matter? The choice is yours, but don’t forget: your absence will speak volumes.
